Press Release Regarding The Training Programme For Junior Diplomats From The Member States Of Bsec , 04.06.2010

The Foreign Service Training Center (FSTC) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey is organizing a 10-day Training Programme for junior diplomats from the Member States of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC). The Training Programme will take place between 7-16 June 2010 in Ankara. The trainees will also be taken on field visits to Cappadocia and Istanbul.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in 2007 with a view to developing cooperation among the diplomatic academies/institutions of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the BSEC Member States, in accordance with Article 23 of the BSEC Charter.

The Memorandum covers organizing training programmes, granting scholarships, exchange of trainer and trainees on reciprocal basis for diplomats. It further aims at making contribution to the career development of diplomats and experts working in the field of international relations and thus promotes understanding and mutual trust among the BSEC member states.

The opening ceremony of the programme will take place on 7th June 2010, at 10.00 a.m., at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
